Who HIFU suits

HIFU works best on skin that has started to lose firmness but hasn't lost it entirely, typically from the late thirties through to the sixties. It's the right treatment if you're seeing jowls softening the jawline, a heaviness through the brow, crepey skin on the neck, or a face that looks tired when you feel fine.

It isn't a substitute for a surgical facelift on significantly loose skin, and we'll tell you honestly at the consult if that's where you're at.

What to expect

Treatment takes 20 to 30 minutes for a single area and up to 90 minutes for a full face and neck. You'll feel heat and small prickles as the ultrasound energy reaches the deeper layers - that sensation is the collagen response starting.

You'll walk out with visibly smoother skin. The real change builds over eight to twelve weeks as new collagen forms, and holds for around twelve to eighteen months. Most clients come back once a year.

There's no downtime. You can wear makeup, go back to work, go out that night.

How soon will I see results?

Some lifting is visible straight away. The full result lands at around three months.

How long does it last?

Twelve to eighteen months for most people. It slows the clock rather than stopping it, so an annual top-up keeps you ahead.

Is it safe?

Ultrasound has been used in medicine for decades. Treatment here is performed by an AHPRA-registered nurse with HIFU certification from the AIA.

Can I have it if I've had fillers or anti-wrinkle injections?

Usually yes, with timing considerations. Tell us what you've had and when, and we'll plan around it.
